With proper care, our fresh flower bouquets typically last 7-10 days. We include care instructions with every bouquet to help you maximize their beauty and longevity. Start with a clean vase, trim stems at a 45-degree angle, and remove any foliage below the waterline. Use flower food, place them out of direct sunlight or heat, and change the water every 2–3 days to prevent bacterial growth.
Each bouquet is designed using what’s currently blooming on the farm, making every arrangement unique. While I can’t promise specific flowers, I’m happy to keep your color preferences in mind whenever possible. Contact us with your preferences, and we'll let you know what we can do.

Plant dahlia tubers after the last frost date in your area, typically late April to early May in Connecticut. The soil should be warm (at least 60°F) for best results. Choose a sunny spot with nutrient-dense, well-draining soil. Prep the area by loosening the earth to 12 inches deep, mixing in plenty of organic compost and a balanced granular fertilizer. When planting, ensure the "eyes" or new sprouts face upward. The top of the tuber should sit roughly 4 inches below the surface once covered. Firm the soil down to eliminate air pockets and give it a thorough initial watering, but don't overwater as that can rot the tuber. We include detailed planting instructions with every tuber order.
Keep tubers in a cool, dry place (40-50°F) until you're ready to plant. A basement, garage, or refrigerator works well. Store them in paper bags or cardboard boxes with some peat moss or vermiculite to prevent them from drying out completely. Monitor periodically over winter.
